Yeah and why?? You really got me thinking with your question. Maybe cause telling the truth would hurt someone or just intrude on what they thought...anyway don't think we should have to do that, and i'll be paying attention to this..thanks for an interesting question to start me off with,

Funny, i always thought of an apology as showing your real feelings unless it is not a real apology.

Yes I have. Sometimes it is better to not let a person know what your true feelings are. I care too much about some people to be too honest with them. And besides, sometimes my "real" feelings don't end up being my "real" feelings if you know what I mean.

Yes. I believe in being truthful, and I also believe in being caring towards those you give your opinion to. If their feelings are hurt you should apologize, but not take back what you said.

Yes I have laughed and then realized they were serious about what they were saying, but it just came out funny to me. So I had to apologize, and was somewhat embarrassed.
