If that is the case, then why do all the aussies who come over here to London never go back? Its a shame most of them don't listen to you and p*ss off back there mate.

Well, I've not been to "every other country" ... but I live in Australia now and plan to become a citizen ... I like the warmth and honesty of the people here, I think that's this country's best resource. It could be improved though by making better peanut butter! LOL

Lenny A. Stop blaming America for your crime. Last I looked, you were descendant from criminals. Australia and America have more in common then you would like to admit. We both came from England, and got control of the land by killing the indigenous people who lived here/ there first. We both turn our criminals into folk heroes (Ned Kelly) We even use dollars as our currency. The only real difference, you have better rugby, and for that I'm jealous. Your also allot more drunk, you can keep that one.

It's not, unless you like an authoritarian government which forbids organised labor (Australia has banned collective bargaining, claiming that each individual worker is equal to company, which is insanity), protects the environment by destroying it (Australia is anti-nuclear, even though it is the only form of reliable energy which does not produce green house gases or significant pollution), and does not look out for the welfare of its' citizens in military (Bali), infrastructure (Desalinization plants), or foreign policy matters (That girl who was or will be executed by Indonesia).

We have common sense ! far less crime although we are seeing the American bastardisation of our society in small amounts, we must strive to resist this plague of our society !
Also the best climate, we have the oldest Nation in the world, even carbon dating records showing human inhabitants here well before Africa. We have the oldest rainforest in the world receiving more rainfall than the amazon. The oldest native fauna and reptiles, the world Largest Barrier Reef, amazing scenery, coupled with Pride but not stupidity ! Unlike some Nations.

it's not that we Aussie's are better it's just that we are happy and very down to earth....
and most of us can take criticism and not be offended...
i don't think one country is better than the other it's all your perspective of the country you live in.......
