I have an Acorp 7KT400/A/600 motherboard and need a graphics card. I understood that the card needed was an AGP type but the one I purchased does not fit. Can anyone advise?

From the picture and the description on the following page, it seems that your motherboard does, in fact, have an AGP video slot.

Are you sure that you were sold an AGP card? If you've any doubt, I'd return it to the place where you bought it and ask for an exchange. (Obviously, you understand that AGP and PCI-e are not interchangeable. Although the cards have a very similar size part that fits into the slot, the offset, from the rear of the case is different.)
