People clam that racism is over. Yet i live in NJ, probably the most diverse state to live in. Yet when my husband and our best friends go out. We get starred down like we are murderers. I'm no t trying to complain but am i crazy or is everyone starring at us because they don't liek what they see. I mean we are young and i just don't get it. I'm hispanic, my husband is white, his best friend is a black man(Thad) and my best friend is an asian girl(kira). Thad and Kira are dating as well. Why do people stare at us so much haha, i mean i don't even look that spanish. Most people think i'm just a tan white chick. Who knows. It is starting to bother me. I mean my friends don't want to go to certain places cause we get "looks". What are your opionions on this should we just keep ignoring it. It doesn't bother me that bad i don't really care that much but it is really bothering our friends.

for all you know they're staring at you because they've never seen a happier bunch. you should be flattered, you're setting up a good example for everyone. don't be so paranoid.

I think it's great that you have such a diverse group of friends. If people stare that's their problem. Make a concentrated effort to stare back. You can all four decide to stare at the person at the same time that would be funny and they'd be sure to look away. Don't let it bother you, people are probably just curious as to why the four of you are hanging out since you're all so different. People are rude.

Maybe they're staring at you because they're jealous. People are who they are and some of them are very comfortable with being narrow-minded and ignorant so you just have to let them be and live your life. All that matters is that you love the person you're with, regardless of whether that person is white, black, red, whatever...Mixed relationships are cool because they produce really nice looking kids.
Stand by your man. Screw those idiots!

Race is such an artificial designation. It really has very little meaning. So, if you are all happy with each other why let other people turn a non-issue into something damaging. Either ignore them or enjoy being an irritating thorn in their petty little minds.

There are still plenty of ignorant fools in this world. Unfortunately, we still have to put up with them when they do stupid things!!! If you want to draw attention to their ignorance, just say "Hey, what are you staring at? Haven't you seen friends go to dinner before?", and start laughing at them!!
