Radiohead beats out all the others, no question about it. i'm usually not a fan of modern music, but I love Radiohead madly. They managed to become popular while still remaining true to the music. Alot of the stuff they make is so emotional and just hits you right in the gut and never lets go. I still get the shivers whenever I hear How to Dissapear Completly and Bishop's Robes.

Hard to pick a winner, so I'm going for Portishead, who have more variation and musical craft in their writing than Massive Attack, and because Beth's voice (lyrically and musically) is head and shoulders above Thom Yorke's, despite his obvious genius.

Interesting that you've put Radiohead in an otherwise trip-hop list, where I'd more expect to see DJ Shadow or something.

The fact that these records co-exist on so many people's shelves relfects what a great time the late 90s was for British music - the quality was so high, but peoples tastes were a broad church.

Right now, there's good UK bands, but they're increasingly samey and guitar-led.

Tough one!

Radiohead or Massive Attack, it is a toss up!

I think Radiohead has proved to be a better band over all over their career album wise and for creativity. But Mezzanine stands up to Ok Computer as a very significant 90's album. Shame that Massive Attack did not stay together for their last album the 100th Window, it was really of luckluster album. Hope the the rumored upcoming album is better.

I am still mad they cancelled the concert last year in Detroit!

Radiohead for me. I like their early stuff much better than the more recent albums though. The Bends and OK COmputer in particular are my favs.

Out of those four Radiohead is the one I like best. OK Computer is one of the best albums ever.

Radiohead-OK Computer is a favorite album.
I like Portishead too- there's something really sexy and sultry about their music.
