Of course not. It is best to continue double sided printing.

I don't think this argument would stack up, even in an ideal world, which this isn't.
My teenage son has just studied the destruction of the world's rainforests. Much of the world's paper comes from cleared rainforest; only a small percentage of those trees destroyed are wanted for logging. It will be a long time before two trees are planted for every one cut down; besides, it takes generations to replace a rainforest tree, and some habitats can never be replaced; once ploughed up, species like orchids don't return. Most logging companies do not replace trees, they just move on to the next bit. If they did, no doubt it would be pine, or another fast-growing species. These people are in it for profit, after all.
Re. your second point; how much of your photocopied paper is NOT, eventually, burnt or put into landfill? Not much, I bet. Even most of our recyled stuff goes into landfill because there's no market for it, but that's a different story.

Using more paper is not good for the enviroment. If you do use paper attempt to purchase recycled paper that is the best you can do for consumption of paper. To really help when you are finished with the paper remeber to recycle it.

no because it involves cutting down trees. and the trees are what we need to create O2 and taking out CO2. recycling paper would make more sense.
