As mentioned above Riccia is a floating plant and won't stay on the bottom of the tank. It will eventually form a floating carpet or mat that can cover the entire surface of the tank. If you prefer to keep it in one area of the tank and it's growing too quickly you can usually sell excess to a local pet shop or at a local aquarium club meeting or auction.

Riccia is normally a floating plant, it will not root or attach to anything. It must be tied down to make a carpet or lawn effect. If left floating it will prefer low water movement. If tied down it will need very high light and CO2.

I got that straight from plantgeek.com.... which you could have easily found out for yourself if you would have taken my advice from your last plant question and gone there yourself.

If it will, just try to put a little plastic strip in the gravel so the plant's root can't go past the place where you want it to stay. Try to cut the if they do, though.
