It seems so from articles published by various sources . Some quantitative data supported by test results / documentation are likely to be published shortly for assesment and corrective measure .Some of the news I came accross are :
Temparature in arctic region is increasing by appx. 0.06 deg. C / year.
Himalayan glaciers and all other main glaciers of the world are receeding by appx. 10 to 20 m / year. Melting ice bellow the glacier bottom , are increasing level of lakes fed by respective glaciers and floods are impending. Revers will dry up after those floods and acute water shortage for irrigation/ drinking is expected by 2030.
Arctic ices are melting at the top surface and for that
sea level is rising every year by fraction of a mm and all the coastal cities / ports including low lying areas of the world are in danger of innundation by 2050.
All these are results of greenhouse gases ( CO, CO2, CH4, NOx , SO2 etc.) exhaust from thermal power stations and steel / petrochemical industries and transport vehicles around the world . ( kitchen fires are also included.) These gase has considerably increased in the atmoshere and retain heat leading to overall warming of the globe.
For all these, people should repent for their sin and adopt clean development methods/ modern equipment to abate thermal pollution, ( Punishment awaiting those who fail to do that.).

I wonder whether heat conduction from earth's hot mantle to outer crust has anything to do with it . How the core is cooling without affecting the crust . Nobody is mentioning that.

Don't believe anything you read and only 1/2 of what you see. Of course, Global warming is real. The last Ice age has gone away, has it not? So, we must have global warming. Do people contribute to global warming? Probably some small amount, after all we ARE Warm and we breath in oxygen and breath out CO2, we must be part of the problem. What is Al Gore going to do about it? Kill a whole lot of people? Invariably that is what Socialists do when they take control of a country. Is that better than destroying their economy and causing millions to starve to death?

Most definitely. It was 30 degrees celsius here in Ireland last summer, that is just unreal. Have you seen how fast the Ice Caps are melting? Huge pieces of Ice thousands of years old are dropping off the caps hourly. Sea levels are rising at a dramatic rate. We can see the effects if we look at everything combined in our globes weather patterns. China had a massive flood yesterday. Both ends of the States have been seriously effected the last few years. It is only early June and Ireland is having a heatwave. Ireland was lucky having a hot day once a year when I was young. Bad times lay ahead, and nobody gives a rats asss.

Are you my science teacher? We were debating this in class just a few hours ago! Well my teacher said the earths temperature goes up and down all the time and 'global warming' is jsut a publicity stunt as the earths temperate is just moving upwards for a while.

Hell yeah! You better believe it pal. Everyone should at least consider that a little effort in helping with this cause equals to a huge difference. Start from home, like don't leave your lights on if not needed, walk to the shop if its not very far from home, use public transport, cycle, etc. If its not for us, its for the next generation.

Yes it is real and we all have to do something about it. Instead being racist to one another we should work together to stop global warming (BECAUSE ITS GONNA KILL ALL OF US NO MATTER UR COLOR)

Yes, and the latest from experts is that we have to do something really effective by year 2012, and after that it may be too late!

well yea but I think it is natural and not human's faults. I don't think it will be half as bad as they are making out it. It's just like Y2K and Bird Flu they were so hyped up that they never actually happened.
