For appearing in centeral civils services exam u must have to pass graduation .UPSC conduct prelimnary eam in Jun advertisement is published in the month of November each year. 2 papers based on multiple choice question on General studies and one optional paper are required to be passed in prelim. exam. thereafter main exam and interview are held. Wisih u best of luck.

Civil services is the exam held to recruit IAS / IFS officers in government cadres in India.
You need to complete your graduation first. Any subject can do. Ofcourse if you are good in Economics, pure sciences etc it is best.
First complete your graduation then think of the civil services.

if u r really commited and hard working gl with officer quality , then u procced with this option....
u r concious at right time of your carrier....
4 civil service examination, the preparation is trickey...
they expect frm u that u have a knowledge about everthing on earth.. just knowledge and mastery in 2 subjects....
so try to fetch every kind of information for every general field...be apdated with new tech nd news...
ur patience nd contunity will really work for u....

On line you can get a pre test. It does not really help but the test is not that hard. Just long. They really do not give you a lot of time to answer the questions.
