I'm a girl, I like wearing dresses and skirts, and looking and feeeling pretty and stylish too.
I OWN a motorcycle, and LOVE riding when I get the opportunity. There is a range of female motorcycle gear available to wear, whilst riding under you jacket and not to mention the Jackets that are now available, they are designed specifically for a female body not to mention the draggin jeans, and other motorcycle pants all designed for females.
As to what you get, try getting both so on the days where riding a bike is seemingly impossible drive.
But the choice is yours.
The below links are but a few, just use the search engine with "female motorcycle"

I know what you mean, I belong to a "all womens bike group" and we have a couple of girls that look rather "manly" also. Just go with what you want more. Weigh the pros and cons.
i.e. riding is difficult sometimes in bad weather compared to a car. Will this be your only means of transportation? If so, I guess I'd get the car. If you are looking for gas mileage, perhaps a hybrid. My boss has one and my neighbor has some kind of little honda, they love them.
Good Luck!

Sounds you could make 'em wonder what there doin wrong. I have seen some very sexy women on bikes. But they were mostly on sport rides.
Important though, if your worried about how you look your gonna miss out on the best part of riding. RIDING!. Get a bike and enjoy the best marrage of man( meaning both men & women) road, and engineering.
luck

I ride and seeing a feminine girl on a bike can be hot. But if you don't already have a car, get the car. Riding a bike sucks in the rain and snow or if you want to carry something bigger than a toolbox.

a girly girl on a bike might look tough, but probably not butch, unless you've got masculine gestures in general.
in any case, nothing wrong with looking like a butch dyke. that's totally hot.
i say get a bike if you want it. it's your life, not anybody else's. you should do what makes you feel good, not what makes other people feel comfortable. if you're tough enough to ride a bike, you're tough enough to handle anybody's assumptions.

If you're riding a sportsbike at 65 mph with a full face helmet and leather jacket, no one will be able to tell what you look like, or even that you're really a girl. You'll just look like a motorcycle rider. If you're worried, get a custom "hello kitty" paint job for your cycle, wear a pink helmet, and sew some flappy frills onto your jacket seams.

Only if you really are butch. If you are feminine looking, you can look hot on a bike, or sometimes it really doesn't matter (doesn't really make you look different one way or another). Some women, depending on what you wear and if hair shows (assuming you wear a helmet, which you should) you can't even tell if its a male or female rider when riding. OK "SOME" guys can.

Well, Cookie, if you have to ask if you should ride a car or bike for looks then,
1. you don't know what motorcycle riding is about
2. you have some major insecurities about what others think
3. get a pink bike, a pink leather suit with frills so no one can mistake you for a guy....

Jo Jo Farmer. Stunt rider with the LA Extremes.
Does NOT look, as you say, "butch/dyke"
http://www.lasvegasextremes.com/jojostuntpics.php#stuntpics
look is all what you make it.
if you make your vehicle choice based on what other people think? You need to spend some self introspection time, and realize what is important. Make yourself happy. Not others.
