do you imagine that there will be "work".
or that maybe we have our own communal tasks?
Will there be sleep?
will we eat and drink? or will we not have hunger?
Will we play games?
will there be volleyball in heaven?
will there be pets in heaven? is so, will they never die?
will people have the same intellegence and personallity in heaven as we were in earth?
will there be humour in heaven?
sometimes when people talk about heaven, they say that will be able to praise god in person?
how much time will we do that? All the time?
will there be romantic love?
I really like romantic love, but if there will be no romantic love in heaven, will there be other things even better, and we do not even know that it exists?

Obviously I know that no one really can tell for sure.
but it just seems like a long time to me
Never, ever ending eternity in heaven with god and there is no end.
Forever and Ever.
What do you imagine it might be like?

Although I'm a person of science, I have faith in God and believe there is a heaven as promised in the Bible. I've always pondered what heaven would be like too...

And taken from a scientific point of view with my limited knowledge here on Earth, one aspect that I imagine heaven would be like is that we would have our five senses heightened... More specifically, here on Earth many things seem to be in the form of waves like sound waves and light waves... Human can see only a very small range within the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum, that is... the visible light part of the EM spectrum (approx. 380nm - 750nm). But in heaven, I would imagine that God would give us eyes that could see the whole EM spectrum... That is to say, there would be new colors (not new shades of old colors, but actual new colors) that we've never even seen before, so I imagine heaven would be very colorful.

We may have ears that hear not just the the audible wave lengths, but we may even hear the EM wavelengths... This means we would be able to hear the colors! So just imagine what music would be like if you can hear colors coming from the whole EM spectrum!

We may be able to taste not just the molecules that makes up nectars, but also taste its colors and even taste the sound of music... Yes, heaven would be one tasty place wouldn't it? "Yum... Blue..."

We may even be able to touch colors and sound... Reach out and feel the sound of music or the sound of your voice on your hands... Now imagine a concert in heaven... "Wow!!" right?

And that's only the beginning since it's only from our limited imagination based on what we perceive here on Earth. We may even be able to think in ways we never known possible... So remember the following verse when you ponder about heaven:

"As it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

God Bless,

If you believe heaven does not exist, then why do you waste time thinking over this idea? If you believe that heaven exists, then you should be serious for knowing about it from any authentic source. There are many things which you cannot know just by imagining. An idea can come to your mind only if you have seen a corresponding object or event either in the present birth or in some past birth - you have to believe in re-incarnation to get answer to your question. God, Who is the Source of all knowledge, is seated within your heart. God is in the hearts of all beings. There are two persons in your heart - one is you as individual soul, the other being, God, or the Supreme Soul. There is a wall of ignorance between the individual soul and the Supreme Soul. The thinner this wall is, the more enlightened you are. God is all Light, you know. You can thin out this wall of ignorance by proper spiritual practice. Then only can you understand difficult ideas or things. Simply by imagining, you cannot get answer to your doubts. I give some answer to your question here, but I do not know wthether you will like it or not. This answer is not fabricated by me, but is based on my readings of the Bhagavad Gita, the essence of the essnce of the Vedas and the Srimad Bhagavatam, the ripened fruit of the Vedic literature.

Heaven exists. Life in heaven is just like that on the earth, with one difference - in heaven everything is superior to that on the earth. In heaven, there are men, women, cats, dogs, serpents, birds, beasts, rivers, oceans, trees, woods, and all that exists on the earth. But the heavenly things are all materially superior than the earthly things. Heavenly people are much more intelligent than the earthlings. They also move in air-planes like us, but their air-planes are technologically much superior to ours. Just like the earth-planet, heaven is also a planet. In fact, heaven consists of more than one planet which look like stars to us. They are beyond the Sun. Earthlings cannot go there by any techonological process. There are yogic methods to go to heaven. You must learn yoga. Or, you have to do enough punya (i.e, good deeds), so that after the death of this earthly body, you may get a birth in heaven.
Thank you.

I just remember a few quotes ... Father Sarducci said there was no breakfast in heaven after eleven.

And was it Mark Twain who said if he couldnt have cigars in heaven, he wasnt going? Or maybe that was Churchill.

I hope my dogs will be there. I have great dogs now, but I miss my Springer Spaniel Chauncey.

I think there will be humor, I sure hope so. Volleyball would be cool. Badminton too.

And I hope there are concerts with people like Jerry Garcia and Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison. That would be great too. Even Elvis (assuming the National Globe is wrong about him being seen last week in a gas station in Boise Idaho)

Maybe it will be like that movie Defending Your Life.
That was pretty funny. Pax - C

Heaven is very big. The Bible tells us about the actual size of the new Heaven. It is in Revelation. There is no more work, no more tears, no more hunger, and no more sad feelings. No more deaths. In heaven, we would all be praising the Lord and enjoying the palace and the place He has prepared for those who believe in Him. Even though I may not have a palace here, I 'm sure I have one up there!

Hi, I can see a beautiful valley with animals running free and playing games.Up the mountain is a very pretty water fall and it pours into a large pond that people swim in and play. There isn't any work just what we like to do like making a veg. garden or planting roses and things like this. There will be sports to play and watch, Parks with all the thinks kids like to ride and play with.Every family or family waiting for family member will live in very nice cottages with small streams running behind their cottages.Just a beautiful place to spend
eternity and never have to worry about sickness or any other horrible thing that use to happen on earth . I will finally be with my mom who has been waiting for me. All my grandparent, friends and my pets that had passed on.My true soul mate will join be when is number expire. The best of all to final meet GOD and Jesus. This is how i picture heaven.

You are trying to imagine heaven the wrong way.You have to let go of your earthly mind. You can't think of heaven as a physical place.I know it is very hard to imagine I've been thinking about it also. All i can say is it is an unimaginable place or state of sublime happiness where our finite minds and bodies will be transformed in a way that cannot be comprehended. We will not be alive as we were on earth. That's how i try to imagine it but it is only my interpretation

We'll all work, but everyone has a job they are passionate about and I think it will have a lot to do with what we do on Earth. (i.e. - if you are a teacher than you teach in heaven or if you always wanted to sing - you get to sing). we'll all have things to do and energy to do them. We'll get to explore a heaven that is as high as america is wide and the depths of things we can learn will be never ending. there will be rest, but no sleep. we will eat and drink, but not have to relieve ourselves. we will play games and laugh and have fun and praise God every day each in our own unique ways. probably will have pets - they won't die. people will have greater intelligence, but very similar personality than they had on earth. we won't have romantic love or sex, but better than that, a complete sense of community, stability, and emotional security. if it is greater than what you can possibly imagine - don't you think your worries of forever being there will be easily dissipated upon arrival?

Oh i hope so too, through it will be slightly embarrassing as a atheist. What do you think a box of chocolates for every religious person I've ever upset? They do have chocolate in heaven don't they? Cause I'm definitely not going otherwise.

i really dont think heaven will be anything materialistic. no sleep, no clouds, no winged beings, no food... if souls do exist they certainly don't need any of these. as for romance... desire and love only overlap in certain areas... i doubt we'll ever need any form of romance... i imagine heaven is more like being a part of a greater being (the Creator) and feeling an endless bliss... the kinda fleeting joy you feel when you're laughing with friends while having little responsibilities... where heaven is we wont need faces, names, or labels... individuality is only important when it's possible for others to opress you... when you're dead and there is no physical matter or pain... it really could be called eternal freedom couldn't it? even if you were part of one big spiritual collective.

Very probably it will be as I make it. And it will get better as I get better at making it better. And since it will be and is an eternal experience I'm in no hurry to repeat the same mistakes that lessens or interferes with my ability to make it better in the future.
