Always get the better graphics option and processor option on a notebook. You can not upgrade these later.

Yes and NO!
If you plan to do any photo or video editing, viewing or the like then it will definitely make a difference. If you only plan to read e-mail, write papers and the like, you probably would never be able to tell the difference.

Trust me bro,
Get the 256 you will not regret it. You can do more with it. But if you are trying to game buy an alienware and weld on an industrial fan to it (works like a charm)

256MB will make it really good for Gaming, which most Laptops are not. 128MB is pretty decent as well. Either, will do well, at this day and time.

well it depends what you want to do with it, but if you want to play games or get better performance on windows vista i would reccomed the 256mb one.

Anything above 4 MB is in fact enough for anything non-gaming/3D so judge your purchase base on that statement.
