Because when i was in art class last semester we built a pot and they didnt have a J or Y symbol in the langauge we were using so i named myself Lamia.

I did legally change my name. I'm 46 and was born Deborah Jean. I couldn't handle the Jean part and changed it to Jessica in 1999 and then went back and changed the first name. It's Deborah Jessica Jade Katalina Cheyenne Phoenix Raven and then my maiden and married name added onto that.
By the way, my husband has a brother named Edgar and I would RUN to the nearest courthouse to change it if I were you. Don't be stuck with a name that doesn't fit you.
