I am not sure if they are outdated or not but the high tech new style radar that is being used today is so accurate that it is almost useless to have one, I no longer use one, I have a scanner in the car that works good to a point, but the police have on board computers in their patrol cars and until someone invents a way of monitoring that, we have to rely on the old ways of avoiding tickets.

In australia it is illegal to use but not own! bit random I know but yeah they are out dated cos most cameras use laser instead of radar now
