Dishwasher: leaking from bottom and grinding noise.?

Question

My built in dishwasher started to make a grinding noise, and at the same time started leaking from the bottom on the left side. Is it time to retire it or should I make an attempt to have it fixed?

I would have someone look at it first. It could be something simple, like a hose leaking. At least that way you would know if you need a new one or not. good luck

Did you break any glass in it? Maybe you just need a new seal. How old it is? Think I'd call a repair shop-- give them the symptoms and ask for their advice.
