I LOVE this DRESS...Suggestions+Makeover help...10 points 4 best answer!?

Question

i'm a fashion novice...but I'm totally digging this dress:

the thing is i'm not comfortable about exposing my arms and cardigans are so...granny-ish. any suggestions on how to totally rock this outfit?? like with shrugs or etc, what kind would look great...i'm planning to buy it tommorrow!

please suggest to me a look that will be just perfect for me with this dress...i want it to look hot and feminine but still chic and trendy....and the best answer will get 10 points! advice on accesories, shoes, make-up are all welcome as well as pics, links and etc!

d reason y i luv dis dress so much is because it fits me perfectly...usually when i try dresses they tend to be 'loose' at the waist and tight on the chest...plus its black but still looks cute...btw i didnt purposely try to match it with d jeans...lol...i tried it on w/o taking off my pants...

Well, wearing it with a shawl would be very nice... and your arms doesn't look bad or anything in it..
in fact, it is very nice on you and a shawl or a cardigan might spoil the overall look...!
I know you're asking for answers on how should you cover up your arms and not look granny-ish..but this is how i think you should wear it..

-Wear the dress alone, without any shawl or cardigan..
-Platform shoes...
-Leave your hair down, wear a hairband or just push your hair up with an over-sized shades...Ooh... or maybe you can try tucking one side of your hair behind your ears and use a big flower with clip to hold them in place, clip the flower right above your ear.. especially with your curly hair, it's gonna look really sweet!
- As for make-up, just keep it simple... mascara and lip gloss!

You can wear a t-shirt under it, or a jacket over it, but you really should just wear it without anything covering the top. There are details on the top and those should show.

It'd be better to adorn your arms with bangles. Wooden beaded bracelets would look nice or something with flowers. You can always go for the plastic jewelery if you are into the trendy stuff. (Forever 21 has cheap plastic jewelry).

If you want to look casual, flip flops would go good with the dress. Or you can get heels if you want a more sophisticated look.

Make up really depends on your skin color. But I guess brown eyeshadow in the smoky style would look nice.

As for colors, just pull the colors out of the flowers on the bottom of the dress. Red, yellow, green. Or whatever the colors are, I can't see it too well.

You should go buy some style magazines and flip through the pages to find pictures of make up/jewelery you like.

ok the dress is cute, if you are going for something sexy/stylish I would def. wear red peep toe wedge shoes if you think those are a little extreme wear the same but in black and get a nice Crimson purse to bring out the red flowers. Because its summer wear a nice black (not jean) 3/4 cropped jacket as for make up go natural if a morning look and if its a night look define your eyes a little more. good luck

As far as the accessories. I would suggest leaving you hair down like you have it in the pic and nice natural makeup like blush, mascara, and colored lip gloss would be cute. If its cold wear a trenchcoat over the top, the trendy ones with big buttons and perhaps double-breasted? I'd have my hair out and some cute peep-toe platforms in red and maybe a black bag.

i would get a cute pair of red or black heels to wear as shoes..

for makeup i would do neutral colors, or search for colors that will bring your your eyes or look best with your complexion, hair color, ect.. and once you find a list of colors choose some to match or go with the dress.

as for accesories..a bracelet and matching necklace thats not too fancy would be cute, for example gold would look nice with it.

for this dress red lips would look nice.And about your arms,personally i think they look fine!but if you aren't comfy showinf them you could always try a nice partiallly see through shawl.they add elegance,cover the arms,and add an air of "i know im hot but don't have to show it off".black ballet flats would be good for shoes.if you want to look a tad bit taller,go with ballet flats with a kitten heel http://jossisahottie.com/ktddotnet/media/gallery/20061226-kiva.jpg (minus the bow for this dress though)

try a long sleeved cropped jacket, even though it is summer and that would look funny, that is the oly thing I can think of that isn't "grannyish" lol

i suggest you buy another dress...i know it fits perfectly (as you said) but i hate the flowery thing at the bottom.........

the next best thign i can think of is wearing a shirt under it...i dont know what color because its black (and it has that flowery thing at the bottom!!!) a cute necklace would do it fine the shoes are up to you
