Being a long time Mariners fan and seeing allot of our players go to the Yankees, this is kind of a sore spot with me. But to answer your question and knowing some Yankee fans are going to cry, they want perfection all the time. And...when a player doesn't perform perfectly each and every time, they get pissed.

ARod is a perfect example. This guy is (an x Mariner) busts his hump out there every day. He leads the MLB in Homers, he gave up his primary position of short stop (which he was awesome at) to Derek Jeter so he didn't cause a riff. And he has been the sole cause of the Yankees winning games on more than one occasion.

Yet...still...they complain, make fun of, and just dog the living crap out of him. HEY Yankee fans, we Mariners fans are the only ones who, by true sports fan rights, should be the only fans mad at him for selling out to you guys.

Most Yankee fans want it all their way, all the time, to win every game, for ARod to hit a homer every at bat and every player (except Jeter) to make every play and every pitch a strike, and even if they get it their way, they will change so they have something to be nasty about.

Ever watch a Yankee home game where an opposing teams player gets hurt fielding, running, hit by a pitch, or whatever? The fans go wild in joy over it. At most other ballparks, when an opposing player gets hurt you hear an audible concern from the crowd for the player.

Yankee fans, not all of you but most of you, get over yourselves, ever heard of good sportsmanship? And one more thing, you can't buy everything!

Because this is a temporary aberration, and they remember several huge collapses by Boston. If you knew anything about Boston's tragic history, you wouldn't gloat until the Yankees were mathematically eliminated.

Injuries have hurt them, and most of the injured players have returned or will return. And you know the Evil Empire is looking to buy out contracts that the poor teams want to unload. I hate the Yankees and wish they could be written off, but you're just asking for heartache doing it in June.

We "talk crap" because of people like you who asks these questions. Ya'll remember that year the Yankees were 14 1/2 out and they ended up winning the division? It could happen again. I know they can get there. People should start learning to never count the Yankees out.

Yankee fans have every right to "talk crap". Just because the Yankees are below .500, doesn't mean we can't talk about our team on here. Why do we "talk crap"? Because geniuses like you make us, with your idiotic statements and questions.

Yes, the Yankees are 10 1/2 back, but that is much better than the 14 1/2 they were just last week, isn't it? You are just another Red Sox fan who is beginning to hear footsteps. How's that for "talking crap"??

"Hang with the big boys"?? That's pretty big talk for a team that had lost five out of six before beating Oakland Thursday night, and for a team that didn't even make the playoffs last season. And yes, Schilling is over the hill. The A's can't hit, it's not like he shut them down himself. BTW, about your grandma. She is about the same age as Schilling and Wakefield, isn't she?

Who cares? Let them talk crap...when the Red Sox win the division and the Yankees are golfing in October you can look back and have a good chuckle at all the posts!

27 world champioships compared to 2 in the last 100 years.?Maybe you should reconsider who the big boys are before you talk too much. I am not a Yankee fan but I really hate the Red Sox, just because they finally won a world series does not put them anywhere close to the Yanks. If I remember history correctly more kids wanted to be a Yankee growing up than wanted to be Red Sox! More titles, more hall of famers, more history, more class. Stop talking **** before you end up choking on your words and your team chokes their division away. Remember there is still more than half a season to play, and the bosses pockets run deep!

Because they are "Yankees Fans." Have you ever known a Yankees fan that wasn't obsessed with winning. Since they are now losing, they are not used to it. Kind of like a junky without his drugs. Maybe they can create a withdrawl program for them.

that dont matter look at the Championships, if you know math at all which i'm guessing you dont. the yankees first world series win was 1923. 1995 - 1923 = 72 years. 72 yrs divided by 22 wins = 3.27. that means that the yankees from the first year they won are averaging a championship win every 3.2 years which would be 4 every 12.8 years. so that saying, the yankees are actually on pace of what they've always done. you say they've only won 4 in the past 10 or 11 years. well they average 4 every 12.8. shut up and bow down to the bronx bombers
