He's my partner.
I just got back from physical therapy, so let me elaborate, here:
I've survived two bouts of cancer, tumors in my left leg, managed to avoid having it amputated at the hip, and 10 years later, after the first surgery, I am going to PT to try to regain some sensation in my left foot, because the nerve in my leg is being strangled by scar tissue.
I don't need a lord, a disciplinarian, a mentor or a pushover. I need a man. Someone with common sense, integrity, and a loving heart, which is what I got.
My second child is autistic, 18, and coming along fine. But I've basically raised her myself. My third child is ADHD, was hyper as all get out, and he's finally managing his behaviors enough to go mainstream in school and have a friend or two.
I don't need some condescending nerd telling me he knows what's best for me. I need a partner.
Maybe if I'd been living a life of fluff, things would be different, but I know myself way too well at this point. So, look for some chick who has never had to Deal and maybe she'll put up with that attitude.
Sorry, cranky and the leg hurts.

As a kind lord most of the time.
As a strict disciplinarian and wise mentor, when I'm in trouble.
I've never thought of him as an easy pushover.

First and foremost, I pray every day that God will give him wisdom after all; he's the one making the important decisions for our family. I see him as wise and try not to question the choices he makes for us. Sometimes, when I step out of line, he is forced to take on the disciplinarian role. He doesn't like doing it but it keeps our marriage happy and healthy. I've never viewed him as a pushover.

An intelligent person; if it makes any sense to you at all. Yes, men can also be intelligent human beings, not just "mentors" and "pushovers" as you classify them. If you think hard enough on this concept and try to stretch your imagination little bit further, you might eventually get it.

Kind lord and a strict disciplinarian. If I do well and I am pleasing he is happy and I am treated in kind. If I do not do my best and disobey then he is strict yet loving.

Actually I view him as a wise kingly lord who receives my respect in the deepest regards, even if I may slip once in a while - after all I am human am I not?.. In addition he's my soulmate, my lover and my friend and all the other kind adjectives I can't think of now.

None of the above. I love my husband and worships the ground that he walks on, Anything he wants if I can get it , then it's his but he does the same for me too. It goes both ways.
