Janey, you will not believe this but for years I have tried to drive this point home! Since high school I have ask girlfriends who engaged in this conversation with me that this is ridiculous and if you allow it and start it, then do not complain about it. Further, I added that if this is so good and makes since to you for a "man" to require 50 help to provide, then does he also upon entering the bedroom, only engage 50% of his member!!! A man must be a man and woman have to stop allowing this crapola! Each gives all and freely working together or it's not a marriage. This show insecurity on the part of the "man". All the best.

Why on earth would you use money to control someone? A healthy relationship does not keep track of such things. The whole question is just plain sad, really.

Wow--I think I am going to give my husband a big fat kiss in the morning. Your question has just given me a new reason to be glad we are together.

Janey,
When you are married you are two that "become one flesh" according to the Bible. Everything that My wife and I have ever earned belongs to both of us. We share the housework, the children, the pains, and the joys. GOD has truly blessed us. HE has given us 32 years together, 3 children, one grandchild, and the best years of our lives together. We were high school sweethearts that married right out of school and we love each other as if we were still young. Please think about this and study your Bible. It will assist you in such decisions. If I may be of assistance, please email me. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

Sounds pretty petty to me. You should not be counting pennies, but just working together to make a good and successful life together!
