This question is asked and answered on a fairly regular basis in the Philosophy category - and although this is the History category - that doesn't prevent the religious types from coming here and claiming that all the answers to the questions in life can be found in the Bible. The last time I answered "We are here to help other people" I was given the thumbs down. It's odd that anyone who is willing to help others, and does not look to the Bible for any inspiration, should be shown disapproval. I think I have found the reason why I roam the planet Earth, and it's not to subject others to my beliefs.

i dont think you'll ever find the answer...i've asked lots of people this.psychologists,teacher that teach about religion at school, catholic priests, orthodox priests, science teachers, Muslims..no one could explain me.they all could tell me how we were created,each one told me a different way, but no one told me why.. the priests agreed that we were created because god loved us..but how could he loved us while we didn't exist?! that's also an unsolved question..
from the scientific part, they said that there isn't any explanation..that some cellule developped more and created the first beings..
the psycologist that "the meaning of life is sth that we have to find by ourselves..if we look deep in us we will.some of us never find it.." haha explain it if you can..
as you an see there different opinions and you choose which one you like best..try it though!ask those that i asked and you'll see that im right!
i don't believe these that ive heard..my opinion is that we were created for an unknown reason that humanity will never be able to understand..its maybe the simplest answer but we can't understand it.ah! pigs and other animals could be in our position now,talking and stuff...i think we were just lucky to develop faster..

I think all people are put on earth for a reason...God has a plan for us each one, we may not know what it is, but I am sure it's something....
