you wear a t-shirt (preferably baseball oriented) if possible a jersey, belt that matches the shirt and socks, baseball pants, a matching hat, and depending on what age you are you will need cleats (either metal or molded plastic) metal cleats are worn at the juniors level. 13 and up. A nice well broken-in glove, a nice bat, batting helmet, batting gloves? Protective cup. Oh, Don't forget the gatorade, some outfielders wear sunglasses. And like your mother would tell you, sunscreen!!

Guess it depends on the type of ball: little league, high school, or college. Little league/some high school, just jogging pants, cleats, t-shirt, hat, and glove - nothing fancy. Organized ball, like American Legion, AAU, College, Summer Leagues, and more you'll need nicer necessities: stirrups (baseball socks), cleats, baseball pants, belt, some sort of decent (not real old and raggidy) t-shirt, hat, ball glove of course. And for the other under garments, I wore a jock strap w/ a cup, sliding shorts, then compression shorts over top of that, and the optional under armour shirt under the tee shirt. No jewelry, shades optional. Look professional.

Depends on what you have.
Myself for an example; Loose clothes, but not so loose it interfere with running and catching and hitting the ball.
I not think a "real" coach is worried about how you dress. But, he look at how well you can Hit, Catch and Throw. So, wear what comfortable to you. I tried out in High school wearing a tee-shirt, loose shorts and good socks and shoes. But, I hit the ball. I caught the ball. I trowed the ball to who needed it, they did "not" have to run 10 feet from the base to catch!
Good Luck and may the "Force of the Balls be with you".
For some reason there something about balls a girl like,BUT, don't get me to lying. ;-)

If they don't have any specific requirements I would dress as comfortable as possible. You will have a better tryout if you feel cool. All you really need are shorts, a t-shirt, and your cleats.
