Did her eye seem swollen before this happened? There's a condition in fish called pop-eye (exophthalmia) where pressure builds up behind the eye and in severe cases it can pop: http://www.fish-disease.net/diseases.htm

I don't know why it fell out, but I had a goldfish too that lost both eyes, and still managed to live a bit longer. Swam around and could still find the food.
We re-named him (we really didn't know the gender), Stevie Wonder...because we 'wondered' what happened to his eyes! True story! We didn't even find any eyes in the tank. He lived peacefully with the other goldfishes.
Was it one of those goldfish that was roundish, bubbled-eyed, with fanciful tail and fins? Maybe it's something that may be common with this particular species...

A goldfish which you have had for in easy terms a 12 months, except it became old once you acquire it, has no longer died of old age. regardless of if it became old age, having 3 pass on the comparable time? unlikely. i think of you may envision your ammonia/nitrate/nitrite stages. PH isn't the only ingredient you may envision. in case you have no longer have been given a kit or are unsure on the thank you to objective, take a number of your aquarium water on your close by fish shop to be examined for you. it could additionally be a good theory to take one among your lifeless fish alongside to be certain if the fish shop proprietor can stumble on any clues as to what it fairly is.

ummmm...why is it that everyone is skirting around the obvious? the fishes eye was eaten out by another fish, fish will fight and nip at eachother, even if they normally get along well they will still do that sometimes, he probably just happened to get it right in the eye. it seems so completely obvious, eyes dont just fall out there attached by nerves and veins something has to remove the eye or pop it.
