i am looking for the title of a movie from the 80's. about a haunted hotel where at the end the guests put together a play and weird things start happening. i think steve guttenberg was in it

He played in a movie called "Tower of Terror" like that Disneyworld ride. This movie came out in 1997 though. And I remember he also played in a movie "No Soap-Radio". This is what I thought of when I read your question. It was also made in the 80s and is considered a comedy.
