Getting B.A. by the person who asked the question is more rewarding to me, but it is also nice to get it if there were a lot of votes for your answer.

For me, it's getting Best Answer from the asker. Then, I feel like I helped or entertained or touched them on a personal level.

By the person who asked, of course. Who cares if you voted yourself best answer? We know you do it.

By the person who asked the question. To me it means I got to the heart of what they were asking, and that is what matters to me.

By far the askers decision. I feel that I gave them what they were looking for. It is a hollow victory when you are chosen by vote because you don't know who to thank.
