Getting B.A. by the person who asked the question is more rewarding to me, but it is also nice to get it if there were a lot of votes for your answer.

For me, it's getting Best Answer from the asker. Then, I feel like I helped or entertained or touched them on a personal level.

By far the askers decision. I feel that I gave them what they were looking for. It is a hollow victory when you are chosen by vote because you don't know who to thank.
