it doesn't have to...I went from living with my family of 4, to divorcing and living in another state for a year without any of the normal contact I was used to...and when I visit with others they said I am much more in tune, easier to approach, so I'd say my social skills improved due to the lack of daily socializing. I beleive it was due to having alot of time on my hands to think about things the had happened and things that were happening and when I was able to voice my opinion it was well thought out and easier to receive than before.

You are staying in your own apartment and your friends (boys and girls) visit you once or twice a week is not harmful and that cannot hurt social skills. Of course, if you are partying or watching a movie together, you should not make intolerable noice that would disturb the neighbours.

I don't think so. As long as you hang out with friends a few times a week, I don't think your social skills will be sacrificed just because you're living alone. Some people like their privacy so don't worry.

NOT IF YOU ARE A MATURE ADULT. They don't need anyone around to practice their social skills on...they are learned for life already.
The most you can get living alone, is lonely and then you go out. You may also experience being happy to be alone, however, it does not detract you from being with other people, if you are mature.

living alone doesn't hurt your social skills infact it helps in a way.
Living alone is always associated of being independent and
totally responsible with oneself.
With that, you earn your strength to socialize with others and everything if under your control.
Living alone helps develop your self realiance on how you manage and deal your life and so with socializing mania as well.

No, it makes you an independent person. It give you time to do things for yourself, and reflect on your life. Alone time is very important to me. I am still a very social person!!

I don't think so, it's being a grown up...god forbid! (I don't recommend it until you're old enough to enjoy that sort of thing) it actually happens naturally as you get older.
