Dear BN&R,
To paraphrase the great bard himself: “Me thinketh the homophob doth protest WAY too much.” Of course these… people are covering up there own homosexual desires.
Granted, this is ONLY an edumacated guess. But knowing what I have learned about homophobic people, I’m willing to put hard cash where my mouth is, and say 75% of the worst of the haters in hear really hate themselves for wanting to try it.
And the other 25% are frightened out of there minds thinking gay men are looking to treat THEM the way they treat women… Think about it. ;-)
Hugs,
PennyAnn

In some cases, you may very well be right. However, there are a lot of straight people out there who truly hate homosexuals. They are usually racist, too.
When I was very new on this site, I ran across a question from a real member of the KKK. I was absolutely horrified. I live a bit of a sheltered life here in paradise.
I don't spend much time thinking about them to be honest. I simply use the "report abuse" tool and NEVER leave an answer.
I'm using the new "block user" tool for profiles that have some history. I'm not bothering to use it for profiles that are 1 or 2 days old. Those gaybashers won't change their habits until Y!A bans IPs.

Nah, I don't think so except for the way they sometimes make me wonder, "What *exactly* are you so afraid of?" when they get to ranting about people promoting the gay lifestyle, as though there's some kind of recruitment drive going on and straight people are in danger of being talked into turning gay. If they really think it's that easy to turn gay, perhaps they have some leanings in that direction.
Anyway, the way I look at the questions the questions, I see all the categories jumbled together, and answer the questions that come up that I have an answer for. They may not really be looking for this section specifically either.

Well, it certainly raises the question of whether they are comfortable with their own sexuality. Why would people who are happy with who they are find it necessary to pick on others? Even those who believe certain acts are wrong do not need to be hateful about it. They may feel obliged to tell you that your (presumed) activities are sinful, but they cannot imagine that bad manners is going to make any points with anyone.

I don't usually think that as a rule, since there are so many people in the world than need no excuse to be worthless piles of crap, but a lot of them seem to be very insistent that your not gay if you haven't had sex with a member of the same gender yet, which is obviously the lie they need to keep repeating to themselves.

I kind of think that some of gays assume that is the case. But I really don't understand why. I think that it is much more likely that they are just hateful idiots who get their rocks off by insulting other people and making them feel bad. It makes them feel superior somehow.

Perhaps some..
But I would say its more often about their level of intelligence and environment; and the politics and philosophy that resulted from those two factors.
Hatred of people you do not know is about blind intolerance of those you perceive to be different from you. Perceptions are developed from your environment and your ability to think.

Well if they're haters it really doesn't matter what they raise in terms of their questions because it would be all biased.
