The first thing you want to do is check and see if high speed internet is available. Cable internet is good if you want higher speeds and dsl is usually cheaper but is only limited to about 3 miles from the companys main office so it is not always available. You also want to get the wireless router to plug into the modem but make sure it is compatable with the wireless laptop. Then make sure that you have all the wireless securities enabled to keep others off of your network and your computer. The only phone connection you need is if you get dsl which is through the phone company. And yes...you always pay for internet:)

Yes, you will still have to pay for an internet connection and get your laptop configured for it. Just remember that even though you have a "wireless" laptop, you will still have to plug it in to the power socket to charge the battery when it gets low.

theyre no longer inquiring for "on the spot computers" - they could ask for "on the spot internet connection" - spoke of as wireless, w-lan ... which capacity: you dont want a sim card to browse the internet or skype, yet you need to use loose (no password required) wireless (eating places and bars in many cases grant this!) or some locked (with a pincode or password) community. So on the spot laptops have some chip interior, that lets you seek for that "on the spot networks" and hook up with it - to furnish get entry to to the internet.

yes. You will have to have HIGH SPEED internet. DSL uses the phone lines, and you will have to get a wireless router. Not that hard. and very cheap to do. I would recomend it.
