Child support is one of those few debts that follow one to the grave and beyond. The child support will be paid out of your estate before anything else, I believe even before taxes.

The best thing to do about Child Support are several

Don't have kids
Don't get divorced
Make damned sure you are marrying the right person, it's still a crap shoot.
And if you get saddle with court ordered Child support, above all pay it. Before anything else, pay it!! Even if you have to starve, pay it. If you really can't afford to pay it, then you can go back to court, but make sure you have a solid case, such as you've had a downturn in wages.
What really sucks, if you go to prison, when you get out you'll have to pay all the back Child support.

Child support is for the children, but sometimes the way it is carried out is nothing short of draconian that also gives the receiving parent all kinds of power. I am not sure what the answer is. Divorce and hate seem to go hand in hand and so many custodial parents turn their ex spouses life into hell, legally.

tolerate this,..i know you are not the one who owes just by your question,..it is people like you in this democraticapitalist system who promotes state run families,..get a job and keep your pants on,..states can hardly run their business let alone millions of family units,..unplanned parenthood gots to go,..abstinence,..and currently ther is no sol so the one who owes is sol, and the state will get theirs eventually,..the system we serve under is worse than the taliban but has similar ideals as usal qaeda, at least the nazi party had a sense of nationalism although their antisemitism is off kilter, with a few tweaks the nazi party could function positively,..joint custody is true child support and a true communism will eradicate the deadbeat mom and dad issue with work camps for the parentally impaired,..some people need a little more rehabilitation back into society than others, just ask you local psych (ologist/iatrist/ic etc), criminologist,..the true communism will fix the broken nation of democratic dissillusionment,..

A Florida woman took her case all the way to the US Supreme Court and won. There is no statute of limitations. Hope you collect.

No. There is no statue of limitations. Do what you have to do. Take the slime-sucking, degenerate, deadbeat, butt-licking, pathetic pond-scum to the cleaners. Get a lean on any property, vehicles he owns. You can also have his drivers' license suspended, and income-tax check red-flagged by the IRS. Also, if your mother was ever on state assistance/welfare, he has to pay for that. The prosecutor's' office will go after him themselves. You have lots of options!!!!

Nope, there is not any statute of barriers. The reaction from "tuckerlucydog" is incorrect as concerning to the newborn accumulating help - the newborn would not carry mutually help, the different verify does. besides the fact that, a verify can assign his/her rights to hold mutually help to the different social gathering. newborn help would not bypass away in a financial disaster proceeding the two. it incredibly is not considered a debt for the form of purpose. in the adventure that your ex dies, you could carry mutually it from the valuables.
