this was on TV recently. It was proven that attractive people are definitely treated better. Good looking salesmen and women sell much more than others. Have you noticed the pharmaceutical reps are all pretty and handsome? The company knows they will get more business from doctors. It should not be this way but it is a fact.

Yes, generally, people are nicer to people they find attractive.
However, I must tell a story on myself: I once met a woman who was some years older than myself, and she was a wreck! She had stringy hair, and although her clothes were vaguely the same color, she regularly matched patterns with stripes or plaids and it made my eyes water. Luckily for me, I was in a situation where I had daily contact with her. After I got past the mis-matched clothes, I found one of the nicest, wisest women I was ever to meet!

It would be nice to say no but the harsh reality is that more attractive people get treated better.
We just seem to be programmed to be friendlier to prettier people. Whether we do it in the vain hope that they will sleep with us or just because looking at them is so nice, is unclear.
It maybe that, in our primitive days, ugly was also a sign of problems or deformities. We wanted to breed up strong, healthy kids and that is exactly what pretty people seem to embody.

Of course. I would hope so anyway.
Look at it this way.
If someone appeared before you covered in blood with a dripping butcher knife in their hand wouldn't you tend to"treat them differently" than if they were well-dressed and smiling?
Surely people can be misjudged by their appearance, but they are treated according to it.

Absolutely. As much as some people try not to, it's subconciously or conciously done. It's been documented that better looking people get better jobs and are paid more.

Of course.
Better looking people generally get further in life, because of they way people treat them.

Yes, and that's sad. Because if you don't grow up feeling some sort of insecurity complex, society will take care of that.
