No, it isn't racist, but it is stereotypical. I know some white people that can dance and I know some that should sit down. What's true for some is not necessarily true for all. But people may take it as being racist. You just have to weigh your words before speaking them so as not to offend anyone.

It probably depends on what and how it is said. Or who is saying it. and who it is being said too.

If someone said "White people can dance" that itself its hard for me to say if its racist or not. Why? We don't know who is saying it , why or how its being said etc. If you turn it around and have a black person saying Black people can dance I personally would not find it racist. Unless it was said in a racist way.

Even if a black person said "White people cant dance" I would not be offended myself but would understand if someone else though of it in a racist way.

Before I type for ever I am going to answer your question.

Yes and No. Lots of things can be taken both ways. It just depends on what exactly is being said.

if it's a true fact it is not racist.
Most people with blue eyes are sensitive to sunlight. Is that racist?

That is a stereotype or a generalization, but I wouldn't call it overtly racist. And stop apologizing for asking a simple question.
