I don't know. I drove a Volkswagen bug with a stick shift for 5 or 6 years However, that was 20 years ago. I've driven automatics
since. I'm not sure if I'd remember how to shift anymore.

This answer will also answer your other question...Yes, my first car a 1973 Chevy Nova SS was a stick...I got it when I was 15 years old, but I lived on a farm and learned how to drive on a tractor and an old grain truck when I was somewhere around 12-13. I've had a few more stickshift auto since, but right now I have a automatic.

Definately! I hate autos! I feel much more in control of the car driving a stick shift.

Yea, I had to when I went to Paris. I rented the cheapest car I could find. But when they said it was stick shift I was like how am I going to do this. Luckily my friend was there to help, and gave me a 10 minute ourse on it. It's like riding a bike you will never forget.

Heck no! I have a hard enough time keeping the car on the road much less knowing what gear I am in. Automatic transmission for me all the way!

That's how I learned to drive! I can even drive three on the tree. That's where the shifter is behind the steering wheel on the column.
