i have a very large strawberry hermit crab, does anyone know where i can find some shells big enough for him, cuz even the one he came in from the pet store was too small

I have gotten shells from all 3 of the above sites. They specify the shell opening size, and naples web site will tell you how to measure a shell to figure out what size you need.

If you can't find a good size at the pets stores, look in craft departments and craft stores. Just clean them off well before adding them to the tank. If you can, I'd try to find ones without polish or glaze - the chemicals may be toxic.

FYI - Crabs are Crustaceons, NOT even close to Reptiles!!!

Try PetCo, they have an online store as well, they sell hermitcrabs and accessories. They grow throughout their life, so they do outgrow the ones they come in. You need to get a few graduated sized, let him choose which one fits him best, and he will change again.
