its an hp pavilion dv6338se or the same as an hp pavilion dv6000. It has NVIDIA GeForce 6150 graphics card, 896MB RAM ,150MB VRAM, a 1.8 GHZ AMD Turion 64x2 TL-56 processor. Yet the game's fps are very sluggish and the game freezes every now an then. Is it my laptop or is it the RAM or Graphics card. can someone please tell me what to do because it has me very frustrated and the game is so very SLOW. Halo 2 vista's requiremnets are 2.0 GHZ processor 1GB RAM and NVIDIA 6100 or higher, but processor minumum is 1.5 GHZ. Should I install more RAM or have gek squad look at it from bestbuy because its still under its 2 year warranty.
P.S it's only 2 months old and was priced $1000 when i bought it would they let me exchange it for another laptop(bought from Bestbuy under their warranty) or what because its crashed 6 times fatally and i'vehad to use recovery manager to fix it this is the longest it hasn't crashed yet 1.5 months. Is it a total loss?

Minimum requirements are a nice way of saying it will run, but not the way you want it to. If you are trying to be a gamer on your laptop only, I would definitely upgrade your laptop while you still have the ability to. If you are using it for other purposes then you may have to hold on to it if it is meeting all your other needs. You definitely don't have the RAM to run the game as well as it should. You will have to decide if you want to buy more Ram as well as VRAM. I suggest you look at some of Dells gaming laptops and buy them with as much hard drive space and RAM as you can afford. my games all take a minimum of 256 MB of video Ram to run well. Hope this helps and game on!

You don't have a strong enough graphics card. The 6150 is a mobile card and not as strong as a 6100. Although it will load it is not strong enough to run it well. More ram may help, but will probably not solve the problem. That is the problem with laptops. And unfortunately graphics cards can not be upgraded in laptops so unfortunately you are kinda outta luck.

The postpone is extra probably via fact your computing gadget isn't quickly sufficient to run the pastime, i do no longer think of it has something to do with vista. I recommend it fairly is genuine that they say halo 2 demands direct x 10 (that's on vista) yet I actual have acquaintances who play it on xp. i could be incorrect nonetheless, yet you may let us know what different video games your laptop can run.

Its because u have insufficient ram and a crap graphics card, ur processor is fine thats because most games dont run on processors(sometimes) but mainly it needs a good graphics card and ram

To upgrade laptop parts arent cheap
and if u really wanted to play games buy a desktop (custom)

Hi. I love HALO but your laptop does not meet the minimums. I would add as much RAM as possible (RAM is about 1,000 times faster than swapping to the HD) and is the best 'bang for the buck' that you can get. I would go for 2G of RAM and see if the game play is good. Good luck Master Chief!

most pc games dont run well on laptops. Only Alien Ware and maybe a few Dell laptops run pc games smoothly. If you have a good desktop, just use that.

VISTA IS YOUR PROBLEM.

your 900mb of ram, 600+ is being used at all times by vista.
your 1.8ghz processor at least 1gz of that is being used by vista at all times.
and your videocard isnt good at all.

for games i take the reccommended req's and try to multiply them by 1.5, or even 2 if i can.

get rid of vista. get a better laptop with a better videocard.
more ram is always a +
