I stepped outside from the rear entrance of the liquor shop at 10.30pm and was held up by a man with a weapon. I was carrying $2500 and had no security escort. I am expected to walk the money approximatley 100 meters from outside the liquor shop up to the entrance of the main bar by myself.
I have not been sleeping well, having bad dreams. I have lost my appetite. I cannot concentrate at Uni and even lost my sex drive since it happened.

Change jobs and move on. Not many lawyers would take your case on a contingency basis.

Not likley you can sue, because that's the risk of your job. But now that this has happened, you can ask for someone else to do it or else always make sure someone is with you. You can also request the company you work for to put you in some sort of therapy or counseling, that might help and I'm sure they would go for it. Sorry You Had To Experience Something Like That, I Can Imagine How Scared You Must Feel!!!

It is a possibility. You would probably have to seek medical help for your problems though. Without a Dr. saying that you have some sort of trauma, your chances are greatly diminished.

Your employer could be negligent in assigning you that task without doing anything to reduce the obvious risks.

The bottom line though is that you have to get a lawyer to take your case. They usually will not unless you have sustained some sort of bodily injury though. The lawyer only gets paid if they win and they prefer cases where they think they have a good chance of winning.

No, there would have to be negligence on your employer's part, like he should have expected you would be robbed. When my house was burglarized, it was hard to be comfortable or sleep well in my in house. It takes time but you will start feeling better as the weeks go by. Good luck and hope they catch the keep.

Sorry, but no injury, no lawsuit. Australia, OR USA.

Maybe now that you have been robbed, your employer will either stop having you make the money drop alone, or, stop having you do it altogether.

Sorry about the bad experience.

Good luck and pleasant dreams.
