I was thinking M.Desalvo,D.Rasner,and Chase Wright.I don't think they'll give up Tyler Clippard either.

What hole are the yanks in they are only 6.5 GB in Wild Card.There's a month until the All-Star game.

No one. Steinbrenner will buy Teixeira for enough money that Texas will be able to shop for a free agent next winter. Texas' season is over; they might as well start preparing for next year.

If a deal will get done the rangers will try their best for hughes if not they will go after neives the catcher and matt desalvo, because this is teixiera's walk year and texas does not want to pay him so they have no choice but to trade him, the rangers will also try to dump millwood in the deal as well. That is the sticking point and if the yanks do not pick him up then the will want hughes, because toronto will also make a run at him. Toronto has alot more talent to give to texas.

I don't think the Rangers are going to give up Teixeira. This is NOT his walk year, he is under contract through 2008. I could see them being a seller at the deadline though. Blalock, Loften, Millwood, Catalenatto, Padilla, Gagne, etc could all be gone. But I think that Big Tex stay put.

If they do trade him, it would take something like a Phil Hughes to get him, at least if I were the GM!

Everyone should know by now that the "Yankees get (buy) what the Yankees want".

Probably give up a future draft pick and some cold hard cash to get him. If Teixeira has any say in it and he doesn't want to sell out, that may be a first in recent MLB history.

I would love to have Rivera on my team (Mariners). The Seattle Yankees have thrown money at so many of our players, who took the bait, I would love for the Yanks to give Rivera to us since they don't think he is performing to their flawless specifications. (Yes I said Seattle Yankees Tino, Arod, Randy, etc.) Anyway...

The difference between the Mariners is although we have not won a World Series each and every year, mostly not even come close...we are still loyal to the players and we don't boo the crap out of them because they have a bad week.

Please, give us Rivera...Anyone know Joe? Plant a bug in his ear, the Mariners fans want Rivera, he won't have the constant pressure in Seattle that he has in NY. I still think Rivera is the best closer in baseball, Yankee fans...lay off him or let us have him before you destroy him.

See one slight problem. The Yanks have no premier pitchers so there is no chance whatsoever they get this deal done. The only guy who could possibly be worth Teixeira is Wang, and they are gonna have to throw in a couple in a couple other guys in there too, and even that is unlikely.

Cashman is clearly desperate. This season is his job, and prospects down on the farm do him no good. He has to be willing to deal anyone to turn this season around. I doubt they'd part with Hughes, but Cashman has to open season on anyone else.
