That would only work if the wife has the right to discipline her husband when he does something wrong. I'm not sure I'd be keen on that situation seeing as I probably make a lot more mistakes than my wife. I would probably get beaten daily where as she would only get a once a week slap.

Traditionally the husband does not have the role of parent to his wife. If the husband is that bothered by the wife's actions he should express that. As far as disciplining his wife, that is a no no. Depending on your meaning by that. If a man hits his spouse he will be arrested and charged with domestic battery. Misdemeanor or felony are both bad. Both make the convicted ineligible for gun ownership and several jobs under federal law.

I believe in traditional families and I see nothing wrong with the traditional roles, but there is NO reason for a normal man to think being the head of the household is an excuse to raise his hand to a woman.
Even in relationships where the man is the dominant and the breadwinner, good relationships are still built on trust love and respect and without these things a relationship cannot last. There is no room for abuse in any relationship.
And that was as true a hundred years ago as it is today.

Woman beater! How can you ask such a question, you old fashioned, chauvinist pig!!! You are talking about disciplining an adult as if a child!! If you are concerned that a wife is behaving herself, then I can only assume that the husband is not! If you were my husband, then I want you go out to the pub (without me of course), get completely pie-eyed, so when you crash out on the bed and then I would do a "Russian vasectomy"! If you don't know what that is, your testicles being smacked with two house bricks!! My REAL LIFE husband knows I would!!!!

No he does not have that right and he has no right to decided is she is behaving right or not. If he has a problem with her behavior then he should talk to her about the way it makes him feel and leave it up to her as to whether she changes that behavior or not. God set man as the head of the home to make final decisions, not to control his wife as though she were a piece of property or a slave. He is supossed to respect and honor her as she does him. If there is mutual respect for each other then the idea of behaving or misbehaving doesnt even come into play.

I don't know how to punish her, but a man has for me the right to discipline a woman, we are getting out of control.

I think it should go both ways, without making it seem critical, but critiquing in a positive manner... both parties should understand this... of course, everyone has faults and constantly pointing out faults will make the other defensive... sometimes it's better to bite your tongue... sometimes we want someone to be so perfect yet we are imperfect... it's good to have good 2way communication...
