I have 1994 Nissan Altima. I noticed that the dip stick that is
used to check the engine oil level does not close properly
at the top of the dipstick tube. In other words, the top of the dip
stick that firmly seals itself to the top of the dipstick tube is slightly worn out and it does not firmly stay in the tube.
Should I replace the dip stick ???. Thanks in advance !!

I would probably replace it but it really isn't necessary(sp?) as long as the pcv valve is working properly there will not be any pressure to push it out or force oil out of the motor through the tube. If you do see oil coming out it definately should be replaced as well as the pcv (positive crankcase ventilatioin) valve.

If you want to then go ahead. Try a salvage yard, and find one there. good luck.
