You are looking at this wrong if you find baseball boring. You have to see it from a lifelong fans eyes. Baseball is magical, the sounds and smells of the ballpark, watching the players warm up before a game. You need to appreciate the passion of the ball players, the skill, the art, read a book about the team your going to see and no matter which one it is you'll find a story and history there, some magical run toward the end of the season, a players heroic effort in the final at bat. Then you go to the ballpark and I promise you that you will feel the magic in air, sense the history, sense the ghosts of past heros(unless your at a Devilrays,Diamondbacks, Rockies or Marlins game) then the "play ball" can be heard from the homeplate umpire.Once you've been and got that feeling you'll never really leave, there is nothing boring about baseball, once you see all there is to love and appreciate you will be lost in show forever.

You seem bored by your own accomplishments, and have reduced them all to numbers. A good woman might be more of a challenge. One who likes dogs? Don't be a bookworm and stop counting your gold and experiences. You're not lonely or bored, just alone. Don't be a spacecraft. Don't try to bond, or dock. Crash into people instead. Allow the unpredictable. Dogs are loyal and predictable. You can have both. Don't tell anyone your net worth. It's worthless and not worthy of you or them, and kinda, almost boring.

If you need a substance to distort your interpretation of the game just to enjoy it in the first place, perhaps baseball is the wrong sport for you. Although many people who go to ballgames and watch it on TV aren't really enthralled by it. Nothing wrong with that. Now if you have friends or family who are diehards, now that's more complicated.

If you have any brains Baseball is not boring. The strategy between mangers, the pitcher and batter, the positioning of the fielders. It is definitely not pure testosterone for limp flaccid joy sticks, but a psychological game which is perfection in every sense of the term.

You probably haven't been to enough games yet. When you go, get a scorecard, keeping score is a great way to really get into the game. As you get further into the game, you have your own 'stats' to which you can refer. I like to interact with neighboring fans, if the game gets exciting, high-fives all around! Beer helps too.

baseball is more a mental game than a physical game.
Most people don't appreciate the thinking part of the game.
Or take into consideration just how difficult it is to do what the pros do.
Personally, I suggest if you don't like it, find another sport to watch.

you must not have any attention span. what makes baseball great is the fact that there is no clock. it's speed and pace is pretty much determined by the pitchers and it can be played as slow or as fast as they want it. baseball is the world's greatest game. you are missing out.

I agree with Rebel in the south. If you dont understand the mental you just arent going to enjoy watching the game. So you can spend years trying to learn the game and all the piner parts or tune into girls tennis or something else that is more exciting for you.

Look for specific things.
Watch the infield ,especially the shortstop and 2nd baseman. It is a thing of beauty watching a 2b-ss-1b double play when it looks like the shortstop doesn't even handle the ball. Of course he does, but there are times he does it so smoothly, it's a thing of beauy.

Jr42 said it better than I can (except the D-backs who beat the Yankees in the Series will always be heroes to me).
The atmosphere at a full or nearly full ballpark is electrifying. You have to be a stone or totally close-minded not to get caught up in the excitement.
