I'm going to say the Oakland Raiders will be the worst team. Aside from JaMarcus Russell, they haven't made much improvement, they're in a very competitive division & the stronger conference and they barely have an offense. Defense is decent, but they won't be very effective if they're on the field a lot more than the offense... and they will be. Russell doesn't have much to work with either. Other teams in that area are the Arizona Cardinals (mainly because theyre the worst team in what may be the most interesting division to watch next season) the Detroit Lions (theyre just cursed) and the Cleveland Browns (theyre just terrible) It all remains to be seen... any given sunday. GO STEELERS!

The Raiders will definitley be the bottom of the AFC again. Despite ridding themselves of Randy Moss, they are probably gonna be starting a rookie QB, with a pretty talentless team, and their new head coach wasnt even a head coach in college. These guys will be lucky to get 4 wins. As for the NFC, it's scary to think about, but the Falcons might actually end up in the bottom of the NFC. That Matt Schaub trade might turn out to be the worst offseason move since they traded Brett Favre to the Packers. I'm not saying Schaub is gonna be a superstar, but if Vick has to miss several games due to this whole dogfighting incidents, the Falcons dont stand a chance in the NFC.

Though they had an awesome defense last year they didn't do enough on the OTHER side of the ball. Oh YEAH thats right they picked up first round draft pick bust Mike Williams from Detroit. (woo hoo). It has to be the raiders. It would have been the lions but for the fact that they have the "mad scientist"Mike Martz to continue fixing their offensive woes. and that they do have offensive talent, and are in a division filled with question marks. I.e. the Vikings and Green Bay and the fact that they have made some progress on offense with marinelli and martz it is hard to think they could fall any further.

I have to say the Houston Texans worse decision ever to not pick up Reggie Bush, and they just don't have that great a defense. I also don't believe Matt is the future for the organization of Houston... and as much as I love Ahman Green I don't believe he will be able to carry this team I see them being the worst team in the league this year.

I'm happy to see no one put the Bills on this list.
But I'm gonna have to go with the Texans in the AFC. Even though they signed Matt Schaub from Atlanta, that doesn't fix their offensive problem. The offensive line couldn't protect Carr all year last year. Schaub had a few good games backing up Vick, well so did Rob Johnson when he backed up Mark Brunell in Jacksonville and you see what he turned out to be.
NFC- my gut tells me that its gonna be the Giants. Tiki was the heart and soul behind the Giants offense, losing him means a whole new game plan has to be put in place. Defense wasn't that good last year, so I'd have to say it will be them, maybe Tampa, but i think Garcia starts and turns that team around.

I feel that the Raiders will be beat out some of these others teams based on the fact that they have no O line, no wide receivers I dont think Mike Williams is very good, and they have no proven QB. Detriot will not be far behind not do I think that the Browns will be much better. Unless the Titans find some sort of wide receiver soon, and maybe even a vetran running back they may regress this season instead of progress.

If Michael Vick gets suspended for any length of time, the Falcons will be the early favorite for the first pick. After them, I'll take Buffalo. They were awful to begin with and got noticeably worse after trading away their best player. Plus they have two games each against the Pats and Jets, and they probably won't be able to beat the Dolphins either. 3-12 and the first pick for the Bills.

Detroit Lions. I was glad when they got rid of Steve Mariucci, thinking that maybe they would get better. But even with a new coach and QB, they still managed to be horrible. It is the GM's fault and until he leaves nothing will change. Why everyone thinks Calvin Johnson is going to be fantastic with the Lions is beyond me. He played for one year in college. Yeah, he was good, but so was their last receiver draft pick who played for only one year in college, Mike Williams, and as we saw last season, he was a disappointment.

I would say Houston and Detroit aren't going to get much better. I would say Oakland, but they had a developing defense last year and I think they can win some games for them. However, I am going to say the Atlanta Falcons (especially if Vick gets suspended or arrested this season).

anyone that said the 49ers r dumb as hell they will make it at least to the 2nd round of playoffs. I would say that okland will remain the worst team russel is good but it will take him a few years to be great plus they dont have many weapns around him and the defense cant do it all
