I enjoyed living in Southern Calif for a few years, did lots of surfing at Malibu, Bird Rock, Pacific Beach, La Jolla Shores, also learned how to scuba-dive along the coast retrieving live abalone (shellfish), and basking in the hot sunshine.
When I wanted snow, I'd head up to Big Bear, skiing, sleding, tracking and some hunting (with a camera), got my first baby puma from Big Bear, adopted a whole family of orphaned raccoons (mother had a fatal run-in with a vehicle), and enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets from my back porch in La Jolla.
Learned how to fly by first operating a sail plane off the cliffs at Torry Pines, played some excellent golf and took basic training at MCRD.
I've been hearing for years that California sits right on the fault line and that sooner or later the big earthquake is gonna hit and all of Southern Calif will be broken away from the mainland and become an Island. Lived on Santa Catalina Island for 8 months with my mom who was doing alot of paintings of the sunsets, ocean scenes and also smoked some great herb.
As far as I am concerned, Southern Cal is the best state in the Union, with Florida running a close second. And, when I pass on to the great heaven above, I would like to have my **** planted there.

I lived there for 5 years. The weather is great, tons of stuff to do and it does not take long to get to those places, disney land, go to the beach, go to the mountains, In-N-Out Bugers, great people, freash fruits, fresh nuts, and there is more to see than just meets the eye. That is my point of view. I lived there and did tons of stuff there, but there is still tons of stuff I have not gotten to see. You can always find something to do there. I hope this answers your question.

I live in California, ive been here my whole life and i really cant complain. The weather is great, it was like 75 degrees today and you really cant complain about that. The only problem is that it's starting to get overcrowded.

Oh I love California!! I lived there for 10 years. It's gorgeous! The Redwoods, Napa Valley, beaches...you should go. Even if you just do the tourist thing in San Francisco go for it.
