Why do most women think theyre fat?

I think a reason women say that is because they know men will back them up and say theyre not fat. Basically I think theyre fishing for compliments.

Men: Why do you think they always say theyre fat?
Women: Why do you always insist that you are fat when you know your not. And if this does not apply, why do you think other women say that about themselves?

I'm sure some women, especially thin women, who say their fat do it looking for positive feedback. However, let's face it. In this culture, thin women are emulated and that's pretty much all the media puts out there. If you don't fit that mold, you convince yourself you're fat.

I Think Its Society And Insecurity.. I Mean Everywhere You Go And Everything You See On TV Is Talking Bout Loosing Weight And Diet This, Why Isn't Anyone Comfortable With Themselves Anymore? I'm not fat, just big babied. ;-) I think a lot of women believe that they are overweight because of what they see in the media. On tv and the cover of most magazines are super-skinny, air-brushed women that are deemed to be beautiful and sexy. If that is the 'norm' that is being projected into society, it's really no wonder than any woman who weighs more that 120lbs thinks that they are overweight, which is ridiculous. Seriously - 120lbs is a nice, healthy weight - if you are 5'2!

We live in a society where it's almost impossible to know what the real concept of perfection is. Therefore, we're constantly citisizing ourselves and hoping that society deems us acceptable. Let's face it, most of society (myself included) do not fit into that seemingly perfect size 0-2-4 mold. In a society where the average female wears a size 14 and the average model is a size 2, can you blame us for constantly seeking the approval of those around us?

as a women, I'm going to say the reason that most women as if they look fat is because, the generally are. I'm fat, overweight, obese, whatever, I do not ask if I am fat, I accept the fact that I am and get on with my life.

Because most men are shallow, and only go for those hour-glass dead-head model like girls. That in the end will leave them high and dry. My gf says competing with music video girls is even harder than reg. models. This is why so many high school girls gag them selves to stay skinny. It's sad really

We'll not all of us think that we are fat you know? But the ones that do just want to see if other people think of them as skinny or pretty i'm sure if you have a girl friend or a wife that you here am i prettier than her or am i fatter than her, right? We'll if you do go along and always say that she is pretty or whatever she wants to be that's how to please a woman now!

I dont say that im fat but im sick of skinny girls always complaining about how fat they are. I have a friend whose a size 2 and she says shes fat! Girls are just looking for compliments but it drives me crazy. Next time someone says their fat im going to just say "then go on a diet!"

Its because most men are in love with magazine woman and they are like what...98 pounds each....its not realistic so we try to be the size of your dream girl and we always feel fat

I think that most women including myself think that they are fat because of advertising. All you see every were is size 0 super models.They are pushing everthing from clothes to diet pills.
