I love day dreaming. It's such a waste of time but it's like my hobby. If other people can have hobbies, then can't I have mine? I'm not going to 'stop' it.

If you mean, how can we stop day dreaming when we should be paying attention to something/someone, then - - - engage with the person you're listening too, say "yeah, I agree" or whatever and ask them questions - and steer the topic onto something you are interested in, if it is boring. That will help you stay focused. If its a lecturer droning on - daydream unless the lecture is really important - if it is really important, then write notes - or draw pictures while you listen if writing notes is too boring (that way you won't be totally focused, but you'll be semi-listening, which is better than day-dreaming!)

I think people who don't day dream miss out!

I day dream a lot - when it interferes with my life etc (like when I 'miss' instructions) I don't worry about it too much - I ask for the instructions again, or whatever. It's something I can try to control a bit, but I can't stop it (and I don't want to stop it). It has it's benefits and its bad things - but it's part of me so I accept it

1) Try focusing your mind on what is happening around you, not on the past or future.
2) Do not sit near a girl or boy who gives you ultimate fantasies. Y'know what I mean, I guess.
3) While thinking something, be motile! In short, don't just sit there! Do something!
4) Do not eat too much food before attending a lecture, or you'll get sleepy and eventually doze off or space out.
