He played good defense against him. But, he did not guard LeBron by himself. The whole team did the good ole Detroit's 'LeBron James defense'. You may be familiar with it.. it happens when all the Spurs jump on LeBron the second he touches the ball.

Bruce did a good job of making him work, slowing him down, so that that another defender had time to rotate on James even when he got past Bowen. That's about as good a defense as you can expect any player to play.

Bowen didn't do much. The entire Spurs defense collapsed on him every time he got within 20 feet. Once he beat Bowen there were 2 guys waiting for him.

The Spurs employed a team defense to contain him. They packed down their defense and dared the Cavs to beat them from the outside.

I said earlier that if Ilgauskas & Gooden hit their shots they'll beat the Spurs...Z was 1-8, combined 7-17. Not good enough to beat the Spurs.

The Cavs should feel encouraged though...Gooden was 6-9, and Gibson scored 16 points on 7-9 shooting, 4 assists, and no turnovers.

It's just one game so Cavs fans remember...the Pistons won the 1st two games of the East Conference Finals.

The Spurs contained James. There is no way that Bowen can defend him single handedly. They collapsed on him and it worked for them tonight.

Bowen and Duncan, yeah. He was double- and triple-teamed through most of the game.

Bowen shut him down cold. I think he was freaked out.

lebron played poorly. they threw double and sometimes triple teams at him. cmon, do u really think bowen can stop him one on one? with his size, strength and speed there is no way. duncan helped out almost everytime he gets to the paint, or near it.
