why did it suck so much gas and y did it die on me??...i just brought it too....

There is a recall on this problem,and you need to go to Alldata.com,and read the letters,that the original owner should have received.If you have any problem email me direct,and I will help you.A part called the FDM,needs to be replaced,and then it gets complicated.De-pendant on the dealer ship in your neighbor hood,they can give you a hard time.let me know(recall is free repair)

I used to have a 2000 focus - it used to do that all the time. I was told it was nothing to worry about, and that I should take the gas cap off and put it back on again, making sure the seal was sealing right.
After I took the gas cap off and replaced it and drove for a while, the gas light would always turn itself off.

could hav mistakenly used wrong grade of gas or left the gas cap off
take it to a mechanic if your sure its not one of those things

Take it to Autozone and have them read the error codes and determine what the problem is. good luck

check and make sure you put the gas cap back on it good,and if you want to take it by any auto zone and have them scan it for trouble codes,this will tell what caused this to happen to it,good luck with it.
