or is it good defense by Bowen?

To say James was consistent throughout the season is senseless look Lebron was not playing good basketball at the first half of the season!! and that is why he had few votes for the MVP race. Tonight's game proved how young he is and how inconsistent his game is. He is the leader of this team and he should lead by example and not bail out on them just like he did in the early stages of the season.

Neither. Lebron is being stalked by 5 players. If he gets by one, another steps in and helps while the other 3 are on call just in case. It's like Tim Duncan said..."Lebron is the head of the snake." The Spurs are daring someone else to beat them. don't get me wrong: Bruce Bowen played good defense. But he never let Lebron go north and south, driving towards the rim and dunking or dishing to an open teammate. Lebron is moving east and west and he's forced to think too much and the Spurs know how to rotate off the pick and roll. Bowen has help from every position and that makes his job easier. Lebron has to learn the hard way that you can't win a championship by yourself.

I am a Spurs fan. I say that it was just an off night for Lebron, (I hate the guy) he is a very talented young player who doesn't have the experience necessary for the finals just yet, the biggest shocker is Daniel Gibson scoring more points in HIS first ever finals game. I know the drill from most of the NBA superstars, if they have a bad night they always come back the next game with a vengeance, I say Lebron will score his 25 but won't get the win. I'm not taking anything away from Bowen though!

well i mean if your gonna even think about winning the finals you have to have at least 1 or 2 other all star level players on your team that can score alot and not get frustrated. The Cavaleirs only have a 22 year old player that is learning for the most part through this playoff process. Did I mention the great defense by duncon in the interior, i mean lebron couldnt get to the rim after he broke bowen's ankle's. Basically lebron needs more backup from his teamates or ever game is gonna be an off one for him.

More a case of nerves. I think until Cavs get home for
the 3 middle games its going to be a learning exprience
by the CAVs and LeBron. If they don't win first two games
at home, they probably are in big trouble. They may have
a hard time winning next game, I think SA had an bad
shooting game, this was the CAVs chance, next game
SPURs will shoot better. So its down to can Cleveland
win the first two at home, if so then the game 3 4 wins may
help them win game 5, not looking good. Not because
SPURs are that much better, but because SPURs will
play better next game since this first game was an off game.

BOTH. Lebron James has been consistent these 2007 playoffs and he is adjusting to the pressure and position he is under and he had to do it while being guarded by a great defender.
