If you are referring to fuel injection cleaner that you buy at the store, put it in your gas tank BEFORE you fill up.

There are a couple of different types of cleaners. The most common one is added to the gas tank before a fill up. The other will be installed in the fuel rail and you run the engine until it stops. So read the directions of the cleaner that you have. good luck
