First of all dont panic. My friend had this happen to her to and we figured out through various medical websites and books that the cause is from sudden weight loss or gain, stress, new diets or changes in an exercising patter, or life changing events such as moving, if anything has happened to you recently that has made an impact on your life it could be causing you to be late...if you go over 4 months without a period then i would check in with a gyno but as for now its nothing to worry about just check and make sure your eating a balanced diet and keeping up with a somewhat regular exercising program. I hope this helped a bit...

Hormones are my guess. Could be lots of things. Weight for example. If you are too heavy (extreme) or to thin (anorexic) that can effect your period. Stress is also another factor. However, judging from experience, Hormones are the likely culprit. If you skip more than three months though you really need to visit a Gynecologist to see if there is a medical problem. Try not to worry. Teen hormones are crazy.

If you have a boyfriend and you have fooled around and he ejac, even if no actual intercourse, you could still be pregnant.
It also could be stress, poor diet, a lot of exercise lately, a vitamin deficiency (calcium/magnesium, vitamin D, others).
Your best bet is to get it checked out by your doctor, to make sure there isn't a blockage or anything getting in the way.

It could be stress, sometimes when people are under a lot of stress it can cause irregularities in their menstrual cycle. I would still talk to the doctor, just to make sure everything is O.K. Hope this helps.

if you have recenlty lost body fat this could be the cause. without enough body fat the body will shut down menstration because it thinks you are in starvation mode and can't afford to expend the extra energy. this really isn't a big deal. it could also be because of elevated stress in your life.

Don't freak. There are lots of possibilities.
It could be because you suddenly gained or lost a lot of weight. It could be unbalanced hormones. It could be your thyroids acting weird. It could be genetics.
Talk to your doctor.
