What can you do when the service is free, and there are rules to govern it like everything else. Except protecting kids from on line predators and pornography....go think, it's nuts plain and simple!

People in general have this idea that "Freedom of Speech" means they can say ANYthing ANYtime ANYwhere. No, it means the Government will protect and/or not interfere with speech in public.

If I invite someone into my house and he starts ranting / swearing / verbally abusing me ... I'm not violating the First Amendment if I kick him out of my house for his speech.

In the same way, the Yahoo! Answers forum is owned by Yahoo!, there is nothing requiring it to even exist, I do not have an inherent "right" to post things here -- so to control what gets posted is indeed their prerogative.

Want a forum where you are guaranteed that whatever you post will not get blocked? Start your own website. :-)

It is a privilege to be on Yahoo Answers, not a right. And, it certainly is not a Democracy.

When you signed up to participate, did you read the rules and regulations?
