Canada Population: 33,390,141
There are between 12 and 20 million illegal Mexicans here, that would be half of the Canadian population.......

I haven't been to either, but I read (and have been told by my friends from both places) that here's a few reasons: Canada takes pretty good care of their own, like free healthcare, great hockey teams, not to mention the nice clean water. In Mexico, there's so much poverty, the water is unsuitable for drinking, and I wouldn't visit there unless I wanted a Chihuahua.

Other than extremely high taxes, there is no reason to flee Canada. The jobs are good, and all of there citizens have free health care (and cheaper perscription drugs). Poverty is more common in Mexico, so many people come to America for jobs and health care. If things continue the way they are economically, you may see many Americans crossing over into Canada for jobs and health care some day!

1. Take a look at the difference in the exchange rate between the Peso and the U.S. Dollar, and the exchange rate between the Canadian Dollar and the U.S. Dollar.
2. Take a look at the difference in the standard of living between Mexico and Canada.
Once you have done these two things, I think you will see that you should have very easily been able to answer your own question.

Canada has Universal Health-Care, Affordable Prescription Medication and a reasonable President. They're worried about us jumping there border!

Canada offers a better quality of life than Mexico.
Sorry Lia, part of the American way of life is laws.......maybe Canadiens have a better respect for law and order and that's why their country isn't in demise.......the United States accepts those who wish to become citizens...but there is a process involved and laws to be upheld.....why on Earth would you want people who's very first action involving the U.S. is to break the law as a trespasser?...the very first action!!!.....are you a habitual lawbreaker yourself by chance?

Because they are not Mexicans.. Because they dont have to unlike the Mexicans.. and i think the Canadians are happy with their country.

America is still pretty ignorant about Canada. I do not in any way mean that all Americans are, just too many.
In other words, we'd rather keep our Canadian identity than join America.
