I am 21 and I just recently got my period after a 1-yr hiatus. I went to the doctors where they did blood tests and urine tests and said it was DUB( dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding and that I was fine), now i have it but its really light. I am worried. I have high stress in my life, is this something to be concerned with? I get my period maybe in 3 month incriments.

Recently Doctors have been telling us that a period every few months is okay. They even prescribe birth control for 3 months now instead of every month. As a matter of fact my cycle has to be brought on with progesterone every three months because I lost my all but a tiny sliver of ovary to an infection. Even then my periods can be tiny or extremely heavy and my Doc assures me that as long as I have a period, light or heavy, all is well. If your Doctors are telling you that everything is okay then you should be fine. If it worries you too much then you should get a second opinion. Stress won't help the situation.
